End of Soccer season

Well, our season ended this past monday in Kearney for our district. Our team, having a record of 3-11 were seeded number four out of four teams. We had to play number 1 seeded Kearney who had only lost one game the whole year and still second ranked in state. We lost 5-1 to the bearcats. I had our only goal. I was pretty pumped. I became even more happy when my teammate told me that only two other teams have scored on him. They played really great against us. We did what we could to slow them down but they were able to find the open space all the time on the field where we were not able to. I must say it will be very hard for us to do well again next year if we don't play any soccer this summer as a team. But our girls had a great season also. Had they won their last game they woulda been headed to the state tournament next week. Overall, it was a good season just filled with unlucky moments. Hopefully we can change this next year.

Post Prom

So, i didn't go to the prom dance but i attended post prom. That was really fun I thought. I hadn't really done much that day and wasn't really sure of what to expect at post prom. I was just hoping there would be some food there and a few things to do. A couple friends and i hung out at about ten that nite and all went together to post prom. We found quite a bit of food once we got there. I was pretty happy cuz i was a lil hungry at that time. There were tons of games and diffferent things to do to keep you entertained for couple of hours. Many people that were there enjoyed the part when me and byron wrestled in the sumo suits. We just tried to have a good time with it and it made many people laugh. Byron and i also did some karoke. We sang to In Da Club by 50 cent and Hot In Here by Nelly. He was my partner in crime for the nite. We finished off our nite by renting a movie at walmart. The movie was okay, not too great. It was The Day the Earth Stood Still. But other than that, it was a good nite

Our season is now a lil sweeter. We have won our last three games. It al started in Ralston where we had a tournament. We beat the home team 1-0 in the last five minutes. It felt GREAT to get our first win of the season. We played in the championship later that afternoon and beat that team called Abraham Lincoln who i think was from Iowa 3-1 giving us the championship. I also had a goal in that game putting me at two for the season. Yesterday we played at North Platte which took a LONG while to get there since it is about four to five hours away. We played a really good game. No one scored in the regular minutes so we had to go into overtime. We had been in several overtimes throughout the season already so we were used to it. We ended up winning that game as well. The girls also won their game. They are playing really well this year as they are at 11-3. Our last regular season game is against fremont who beat us in the tournament we hosted several weeks ago. They beat us 4-1. Hopefully we are able to beat them.

The LONG season

So, the soccer team is still winless in ten games. We haven't given up hope yet. We played Kearney on thursday tho who is the number 2 team in state. We played very well against them even tho we lost 2-0. We still try to play hard in every game but it seems like we will play good in one half but not as well in the other. Most of the goals that we have given up have been in the final minute or fewer. So you could say we play a good 39 minutes out of 40. So this weekend we have a tournament in Ralston. That was the only win the team had last year so we are looking forward to that game cuz we see it as our game to win. But I guess we will just have to see what happens becuz there have been MANY games that were ours to win but we simply didn't take care of business.

Doctor dad

So, my dad has been to college for a REALLY long time. So long i have forgotten where he was attending at the current time. Anyway, he is getting his Ph. D(its spelled something like that). Now that I think about it, thats a REALLY big accomplishment. I already hate going to school now as it is but to go for that long to get a Phd would be brutal. HAHA! Maybe and maybe not. But his most of his family is coming to support him even my grandma who originally lives in Malawi in Africa. All in all, I am really proud of my dad becuase not many people go that far to get their phd's. I just hope i don't have to make an appointment to see him tho, that would be a lil weird.

Soccer attitude

A while ago, the soccer team screwed around ALL the time at practice and thought the only time to be serious was during the game. I didn't like the attitude at all. I was so fed up with it I was thinking about quiting cuz it felt like i was working hard most of the time and most of the team wasn't. I told my dad and another coach when they asked me how soccer was going. They were proud of me for wanting to do something about it but quiting was not the way to go about it tho. I talked to the coach and told him how i felt about it. Later on that day we had a game. We lost and i thought to myself, if we actually practiced hard our outcome could have been different. But the next day before our practice, the coach addressed the team about the attitude. It took about a couple of days, but the attitude surely changed for the better. Yet we haven't won yet.
